Maus lives in his birthplace of Austin, Minnesota, composing synth century songs whilst studying a PhD in Political Science. Drowned in Sound describe his music a “melancholic fantasy” that “affirms that we are all truly alive.” I’d have to agree, if there’s one thing universally accepted about John Maus, he’s definitely unique.
