It’s not hard to hear where the influences lie on this debut single from North London duo Kinship, yet It’s You is still a mightily exciting first offering.
Elements of Jamie XX, George Fitzgerald and Caribou find their way into the super slick production, whereas the songwriting has more in common with the likes of Honne or even the more soulful, less pop orientated moments from Jungle. We’re talking those post 3AM vibes, somewhere between the party and the comedown. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait too long to hear more from these guys. Check it out below.
