Crack in the Road

There hasn’t really been an album in the last year that’s as ripe for a visual representation as Youth Lagoon’s ‘The Year of Hibernation’. It started with Tyler T William’s video for the incredible ‘Montana’. The video was at times harrowing, but rather delicately centred around a simple story of a young boy. This fan made video for ‘17’, a track from the same LP, directed by Kasey Lum, travels in a similar path; as we follow a young boy lost in his own dreams and ambitions, with quietly supernatural elements injecting a level of mystery that comes with almost every track on the record.
