The July august issue of ‘Essential Homme’ holds plenty of nice photography.
But one of my favourites is this really quite classic styled photo shoot with its roll necks buttoned up collars, grey jumpers and blazers, all topped of with a classy understated side swished boy cut. The shoot is set in a number of backdrops, which seem to build a picture of some weird stately home giving it a bit of an edge. As well as this the photos are grainy film shot pictures and are suitably dark. All in all photographer Joe Lai and stylist Benjamin Brouilet have managed to make simple pieces by designers like Dior Homme, Christian Lacroix, acne, Yigal Azrouel and Kris Van Assche. A beautifully modern but yet classical piece of work.
