Shrouding their true identities with slightly bizarre quotes and lengthy passages of literature, Idaho trio ON SAY have just stepped foot in the world with their debut release, a nine track album of sorts, titled Another West.
Opening with the beautifully sleepy lo-fi prang of Rolla Costas Comin’, Another West is at times uncompromising, and in truth varied in quality, yet there’s certainly highlight that showcase a vast amount of potential, be it the Bon Iver quality of the opener, or the pre-Reflektor Arcade Fire stylings of East, there’s certainly something here, hidden beneath the layers of mystic, and occasional questionable production.
