What can I say about Spring Offensive that Rob or myself haven’t already said? I feel like we’ve thrown a dictionary’s worth of superlatives at the Oxford group and yet it still feels like we’ve somehow come up short.
All their moments of mind-blowing euphoric crescendos, they match with tender, despairingly fragile sections, providing a stunning emotional downpour.
With new track Not Drowning But Waving they merge their post-rock influences with their knack for penning heartfelt love songs. Accompanied by beautifully shot visuals, mirroring the cinematic feel of the song, with a thoroughly engrossing and thought-provoking narrative; yet another Spring Offensive video worthy of critical acclaim. The group are about to embark on a huge European tour (dates below), and with the release of this new track, it’s increasingly evident that their time is now.
