In my mind, The National are rapidly cementing themselves as one of the most important and consistent bands of this millennium. With five brilliant albums released since 2001, it’s a crime that they have only recently started to be considered festival headliners. Think You Can Wait continues in a previous vein to last years top ten record High Violet, emotionally inspired soft rock, centred around Berninger’s poetic and heartwrenching lyrics. The group said they wrote and recorded the track after watching the Thomas McCarthy-directed Win Win, and the song has since been named the official theme tune of the film. Listen to it below.
