This is undoubtedly the most beautiful debut track you’ll hear this month.
Sure it’s drenched a little with the sort of vibes that the master of ‘conscious uncoupling’, Chris Martin, would probably murder for, but don’t let that detract from the elegance and smoothness of RAINES’ (Mike Nelson) debut composition, Ghosts. It’s a festival closer, a relationship ender, it’s the scene in the film where the lovers race across town to meet each other in time for a New Years kiss, it’s a Vodafone advert in waiting… but all in all, it’s transcendentally wonderfully. Soak it up.
