It’s great to be constantly writing about and unearthing new artists, yet every now and then I get a reality check, and have to remind myself that in a vast majority of cases, ‘new artists’ are showcasing potential, and songs quite a way in quality from certain established artists.
This afternoon in particular has heralded half a dozen or so new bands, that I could easily wax lyrical about, but in truth, none of their songs come close to this new cut from Purity Ring, lifted from their sophomore album, another eternity, out March 3rd. They pretty much invented this sound, and quite frankly, no one else does it better.
