London based singer/producer TĀLĀ spreads her wings on her debut solo outing, The Duchess, a dark, majestic number, best listened to at full volume. Not too far from the heavy, beat-based productions of Clams Casino or Shlohmo, it’s slightly discomforting at times yet a hugely promising first step. Well worth keeping an eye out for.
