Gothenburg trio Katakomb formed in 2011, and put out a self-released EP in the same year, yet have been rather quiet since then.
Returning with news of a debut album due out next week, with lead single Footloose taken from it being one of the finest examples of perfect indie pop songwriting this year. Having listened to this several times today, I’m not quite sure where to draw comparisons. It’s got all the pop sensibilities of Foster The People, with the general upbeat, carefree swing of a top 10 single. Check it out below.
