I originally started writing this one up Friday afternoon, possibly the worst time to start writing something and not finish it as it’ll invariably get sidelined all weekend.
Anyway Pale, partly responsible for one of the best nights of the past year (okay, imo), are back with a slickly arranged groove, that adds and takes pulsating and wobbling layers at just the right moments.
It’s been a pretty big part of my listening all weekend, but right now is the first time I’ve had a pair of headphones to hand to listen – and it is definitely a track that benefits hugely from headphones. Synth lines pan and phase in and out of channels and each other, whilst the dual vocals interlock like jigsaws.
Hugely recommended and it’s great to see the guys just keep getting better and better at what they do.
