Having witnessed Let’s Away’s thoroughly successful debut live performance at May’s Evolution Emerging Festival, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of more material.
New EP titled The Brittle Bones of Let’s Away is a marked progression, with the two tracks You & I and Brittle Bones showcasing the tender yet poignant element that made their live performance so invigorating. Built upon drunken romances, misleading glances and overpowering heartache, You & I is a 60’s ballad in all it’s silky glory whilst the sombre Brittle Bones dives into a sea of melancholy, fumbling for that final chance to reminisce and retrieve. Early days it may be, but these two tracks mark Let’s Away out as not just bright stars in the North East, but for the rest of the UK as well.
