I feel like I say this all the time, admittedly more in real life than on the pages of CITR, we truly are in the age of DIY art; from creation to publication, the need for the man in the suit with bags full of money is diminishing every day.

Yet despite this sudden sense of empowerment, filmmakers have so far failed to make music videos that grasp digital media’s cavernous potential as often as they should do, as a filmmaker I include myself in that category.

Fortunately Zambri’s Milton Ladd directed video for their track ‘To Keep Back’, has a huge sense of scope despite in actuality its humble beginnings. It blends forward thinking camera work and good old-fashioned filmic illusion to create something that bubbles with an urgently unsettling atmosphere.
