12 years after the release of Mermaid Avenue Vol.
II, a third volume of lyrics penned by Woody Guthrie is expected in 2012, again as a collaboration between Billy Bragg and Wilco. From Billy Bragg’s facebook page;

If the quality is anything like that of the first two volumes, it’s likely to be one of the finest albums of 2012. If you haven’t listened to Mermaid Avenue previously, you’re in luck, you have some time to check them out while others drool in anticipation.
