Sometimes a piece of music simply comes at the right time, with the quality or indeed cultural relevance of the piece becoming ultimately meaningless.
That’s not to say that this new cut of ambient art from Escalier has no artistic merit, for from it, more that its relevance to me is perfectly married to what I need from music at the moment. The piece itself is a simple evolution of sound; it paradoxically blends warm and cold textures, resulting in a piece that embodies the season. It really will make you pause, consider and rebuild.
