Think of third album Bloc Party and what comes to mind? Cold and sterile? Experimental and forward thinking? Either way this, much overlooked, B-Side to the 7″ version of Mercury isn’t going to change your mind. What it does, though, is play on both perspectives, with the dissonant and harsh electronic sounds actually benefiting from the heavily compressed production style that served to hinder Intimacy. Of the third album track collection, this has somehow survived the test of time better than the rest, despite it’s obscurity.
